Our guesthouse is located on the border of a wood, between the district Einathen and Wiesenegg in Aurach.

A lot of hiking trails can be started directly from our house: Especially in Winter hiking up to the Kelchalm (Bochumer Hütte - approx. 1,5h) is very attractive, because you the way back you can toboggan on a 5 km long run. A special experience for young and old.
In summer the Kelchalm is good starting point for further hikes, e.g. up to the Torsee, Gamshaag or Tristkogel (fixed rope route).

Well worth seeing, especially for our young guests, is the wild life park in Aurach.
Passing by some ancient alp-farms you can hike to Jochberg and towards Pass Thurn.

You can also take a walk to the towncenter of Kitzbühel. Either over the romantic promenade next to the Kitzbueheler Ache (a creek) or over a hiking trail through some mountain pastures (e.g. Bichlalm).

In winter you can easily access the cross country track to Kitzbuehel at Traidlsteg (just 350 metres away). If you have never tried before to cross country ski, you can rent some equipment in our house at no extra cost.

Restaurants and Inns

There are some restaurants near our house in walking distance, e.g. the Hotel/Restaurant Wiesenegg and the Gasthof Hechenmoos (approx. 10 minutes), the Gasthof Auwirt (approx. 25 minutes) as well as the Hallerwirt next to the church in Aurach (approx. 35 minutes). All times are on foot, and all restaurants can be easily accessed by car too.
